National Average, K-12 Teacher Salary $44,993
National Average, NFL Player Salary $1,169,470

Running around for a couple of hours a day with a ball is twenty-six times more important than educating the children of this country, if salary is a measure of worth.

And those figures are two years old; I wonder what the disparity is today.

I know a lot of teachers who would love to be making that national average. And as for that NFL average salary, that's for all the players, the guys who actually run around with the ball are probably averaging twice that.

What a great country.
Yup. The above figure for "teachers" also includes supervisors and principals. And teachers in the southern states tend to get about $5000/year less than the national average, judging from the individual states' education department pages I found while looking up those figures.
Throw ME the damn ball!
Which makes we wonder, "If we have the WNBA, Women's Soccer, and Women's Baseball, why don't we have the WNFL?"
Actually, there is a women's football league; it started about 2 years ago, and I believe there is a Tampa team.
First of all football is more than 2 hours a day. it is a hard demanding job and if you havent been through dont talk about it. And there are to many emotions in football for women to deal with and leave what happens on the field there
"Job"? You so funny.
