I'm led to believe that this image is an Internet classic, but it's new to me - and it had me in stitches:

no pony for you

I should hasten to add that this would not have amused 10-year-old me, because I had pony fever back then, my friends. Do little girls still go through the pony phase, or do they cut straight to the boy bands?

I knwo for a fact that I didn't want a pony. Maybe a giraffe or a kangaroo. But I did want boy bands fairly early. Well, New Kids on the Block anyway. Wow; did I just divulge that for all to see??

Yep, ponies are still in. My 5 year old wants one real bad. We have at least a dozen pretend ones here while she waits for the real thing.

Well, my daughter is an animal lover through-and-through... so yes, she had the pony phase. And the you-name-it phase... she, at one point, thought icky bugs were cute.
