I love a parade
hockey me like

As I am a Lady of Leisure, I went downtown to watch the parade in honor of the Stanley Cup-winning Lightning. Brad Richards waved at me! Great fun. Then Godfrey took me to the French restaurant for lunch. Yum. We have many pictures, but to see another example of lack of proofreading, see this entry over at Godfrey's place.

I am having lots of carpel tunnel-ish pain in my right arm. This will impede my computing ability quite a bit. In fact, it is cutting this entry short right now. Poopie.

Maybe we should buy you some dictation software, to reduce your typing?
Mousing seems to be worse than typing, thanks to my ergonomic keyboard. I may need an extension cord to get the mouse to my left side.
Buy a wrist brace at the pharmacy, and sleep in it for a couple nights. Assuming the problem's in your wrist, that should help.
It's right below my wrist, like an inch or so. Maybe it's tendonitis? I slept in the brace last night. It's this plastic thing with grommets & velcro.
Even if it's tendonitis, the brace will help. The idea is to immobilize the area and impede movement so the inflammation can go down. It may take a couple of nights, since this probably didn't happen in one day. Heat and/or ice might also help.
I'd go with ice. Heat feels better, but ice reduces swelling.

And a mouse extension cord is no problem.
When I had tendonitis, my doctor told me (in regards to ice vs. heat) to go with whatever felt good. Turned out to be heat. Ice reduces swelling, heat increases blood flow. Both are good. :)
Good stuff to know, thanks!
And as long as you can, erm, stomach it, an anti-inflammatory like advil or aspirin will accelerate the healing process. None of that tylenol stuff-- there's no anti-inflammatory property to acetamenophen.
