My hair hurts, I had to brush it for several minutes as it had become inexplicably and extremely tangled.

Heh. Mine is so stick straight, I never have tangles. My Laurel scowled ferociously while she was french-braiding it last Friday night, saying, "It's slippery!"

Needless to say, no combs or brushes are ever harmed in the management of my hair.

Mine is both stick straight AND tangles easily. And hair management items (barrettes, bobby pins, etc.) slide right out.

Mine is very straight, most pins and clips and holders slip out of it - and yet I still have these bouts with tangles every so often.
