Upon the loss of one's mojo

Sorry I've been so lame lately. I've lost my mojo - the French call it...I don't know what. Anyway, I just can't get into anything - blogging, sewing, socializing, you name it. Work is bringing me down, among other things, and rather than facing my issues with a "go get 'em, tiger!" attitude, I find myself feeling utterly defeated.

Ahh, it’s just chemistry. You’ll get it back.
I get deep depression episodes from time to time. It seems (at least in my mind (quite literally)) that this is tied to stress which always works out to be “I have too much to do and too little time to play.” Also not eating right which is also tied to stress. (Stress + running around = eating at MacDonald’s or some other hell spawned fast food place.

The really bad thing is that I can’t tell I’m into one of these things until it’s over. That sucks! What is it about our lifestyle that precipitates this kind of stuff? Sometimes I think the HG societies (pre agricultural) had the right idea. Twenty hour work week, lots of exercise, no taxes…. Very high infant mortality rate! (Never mind.)

I can tell when I'm in a funk - there's just absolutely nothing I can do to get out of it. Just have to wait it out. (Hey, now that we're older, what do we care about infant mortality rates? Just kidding! Don't want any hate mail from baby lovers!)
