Bad Ratio

A recently purchased bag of Tootsie Rolls - Flavor Rolls was made up of the following flavors:

11 lime
8 vanilla
7 orange
5 lemon
3 cherry

My ranking of flavors is:

cherry
orange
lemon
lime
vanilla

Which leads me to postulate that the amount of one's favorite flavors of anything will be inversely proportional to what one winds up with in one's sack of candy.

Which makes me wonder what kind of easy-to-please guy I am when all of the Tootsie Roll flavors just plain rock my world.

Then again, nothing beats the original. Mmmmmm.

I always feels like Tiny Tim when I think back on how I used to look forward to getting that Tootsie Roll bank for christmas - that cardboard cylinder tube chock full of chocolatey goodness. Then you got a year to stuff it full of pennies.

Vanilla Tootsie rolls are great. I wish I could find them sold alone and not only in the assortment package. Does anybody know if this is possable?

The closest I've seen to that is the bulk candy stores in malls. You would just have to sort through and pick out the vanilla ones.

I'm with Jack about the Vanilla Tootsie rolls. That is how I ended up here. Looking on the internet to buy just vanilla and maybe cherry alone. I am tired of buying the mixed bag with more orange lime and lemon than the vanilla and cherry. I don't want those other flavors. Hello Mr.Tootsie Roll Factory out there, start packaging vanilla and cherry the way you do chocolate. It would be heavenly.

If anyone finds the vanilla alone, please let me know! We did find a few bags of just the vanilla at an IGA, but can't find them anywhere else! Anyone else having any luck?

I found someone who sells just vanilla tootsie rolls....but I don't really want to pay $21 for 5 lbs. That seems like a lot to me. Vanilla tootsies rockl, I may have to break down. I have to agree with everyone about the vanilla tootsie rolls, I just love them! I did find another website that sells them by 6 lb. bags for about $21. The website is http://candydiscounters.com/

I still like the cherry ones the best. Damn! I should have given flavored Tootsie rolls out to the trick-or-treaters this year, as a thinly disguised excuse to buy the candy for me.

A couple of years ago I found candy cane coated tootsie roll midgees at Big Lots around Christmas. Haven't been able to find them since. Does anybody know where I can find them?
