Bumper Stickerage

Up in Tallahassee, we see a different selection of bumper stickers than we saw in Tampa.

One frequent sighting is Buckle Up For Dale, which doesn't really make sense to me, since if I remember correctly, Dale Earnhardt was wearing his seat belt, and it didn't do him much good.

But the one I saw Friday puzzled me through and through. Git'er Done For JESUS, it ordered, but failed to elicidate on what (or whom) the driver wished me to do.

"Yeeee-haw! Walkin', talking stereotypes!"
UR AN IDIOT THE BUCKLE UP FOR DALE STICKER WERE FOR DALE PULLEN WHO WAS KILLED IN A DRUNK DRIVING ACCIDENT!!!
First of all, someone who doesn't seem to know how to punctuate, turn off the CAPS LOCK key, spell the (very common) word "you're" or conjugate the verb "to be" properly really doesn't have a leg to stand on when calling another person an idiot.

Secondly, when the vehicles bearing these stickers also tend to be festooned with the slanted number 3 which symbolizes Dale Earnhardt, it's quite natural for someone coming from outside Tallahassee to assume a connection between the two, especially since Dale Earnhardt's name is fairly well known outside Tallahassee and Dale Pullen's name isn't.

Have a nice day.
