Who moved my cake?

This week I got two new neighbors in the cubicle farm - Jovial Bob and his compatriot, Charlie. I don't know much about Charlie except he likes the Raiders and has a babershop quartet moustache. And Bob is quite jovial, the type who asks you, "how the heck are you?", but I think he may have a bit of a dark side. Still, it turns out he's hip to the same music I like, B-Boys, B-52s, not so much Bow Wow Wow though. These guys do customer support, so that means there's lots more talking going on, but so far it hasn't bugged me. They were moved up here for synergy reasons. I'll never understand corporate thought like that, but then I never went to business school either.

In other news, we have been given food twice this week. Monday it was cake in honor of Mr. B's birthday. They decided to surprise him. Personally, I don't think octogenarians should be surprised, but there were no mishaps. Today we got pizza in honor of a good sales month. Those damn engineers almost ate it all before I got there, but fortunately they don't like veggie pizza. I guess the thought is a well-fed worker is more productive.

crap.

Every month I run a program that analyzes the traffic on the corporate web site. "Web Trends". For some reason, there is no data from July 17-24. It's not my fault, and yet it will be.

ADDENDUM: I ran the report again, and got statistics for that week. That's weird.

Things to do in Florida when you're dead

Yesterday I spent the entire day in a kitchen, helping a friend prepare a feast at a small SCA event (a collegia). Sue is a great cook, and there was a lot of food left over, I shouldn't have to cook for a couple of days. It was fun, despite the dishpan hands. Now I'm a bit wiped out, yet we have an invitation to a pool party today. What to do, what to do...stay at home, rest and try to do a couple of chores? Be a tired poolside bum?
