Dear Kathy O,

SITUATION:   Mayor Gabriel Cazares has and is attacking us in
             this area, and should he succeed at his run for
             US Congress he could proove to be a greater threat to
             the Church.

WHY:         Actions have been taken in this area by B1 but they
             have not been sufficient to obtain the desired effect.

HANDLED:     Learned that the FBI is currently investigating the
             source of the letters written anonymously about
             Cazares' indisgressions in Wash DC.  According to
             Maggie Cazares, after the weekend when Cazares went
             to DC a woman named Sharon Tyler tried to call Cazares
             for about a week, and after Cazares finally spoke to
             the woman he told Maggie that the girl wanted Cazares
             to get her a job; Maggie thinks that even the phone
             call may have been a Scientologist.  A report is
             being written up  on this and will be out tonight.

SITUATION:   The Clearwater Sun has repeatedly attacked us in this
             area and they are planning further attacks; they have
             not been adequately restrained.

WHY:         The Sun and the Who at the Sun, Ron Stuart, have not
             been sufficiently handled by the use of collections data

HANDLED:     We have heard that on last Thursday night a party for
             Sun employees was held at Ron Stuart's condominium,
             and that there were drugs used at this party, and that
             due to the drugs and noise some neighbors complained
             to the police, who visited Stuart's condominium and
             checked out the party, but apparently didn't make any
             arrests.
